39 1/2 Hours Start to Finish

Competed job December package special.

Robert and Laura King got the keys to their shiny new kitchen on February 18 2011, just 39 1/2 hours after tearout started on February 16.  We can't always perform this quickly but this job went exceptionally well. Usually we expect to finish in seven days start to finish.

We would like to thank the Kings for choosing Premium Kitchen to do the complete kitchen remodel in their home. We were pleased to be able to provide a price to the Kings about $4000 less than the local home center price (not mentioning any names).

Remodel market getting stronger

"Remodeling...accounts for  about 70% of total U.S. residential expenditures." according to Steve Brown, real estate editor for the Dallas Mourning News, in a story published on January 18, 2011. The article points out this is a much higher percentage than in the past and is expected to rise further in the coming year or two. The kitchen  remodel is still the most common type of project according to Mr Brown.

Here at Premium Kitchen in Northwest Arkansas we see a similar trend. While new home construction has slowed to a trickle, the remodel side is showing some strength. It is only to be expected that more are choosing to stay put and make improvements where they are.

Another factor contributing to the surge in remodels is the foreclosure repair market. According to Mr Brown buyers of foreclosed properties typically spend about 15% more fixing the place up. In northwest Arkansas the percentage  spent on forclosure repairs may be even higher because the selling prices have been so low.

Premium Kitchen specializes in complete kitchen remodels, but we are happy to provide other construction services along with work we are doing in the kitchen. So if you are considering jumping in to the foreclosure market, think about having Premium  Kitchen as your project partner.    

Get a New Kitchen and a Lower House Payment

Interest rates are at historic lows so now may be the time to refinance, get lower monthly outflow, and at the same time increase the quality of life with a complete kitchen remodel.

Consider this example:

Before refinance:                         Monthly
$160.000 mortgage at 6%.................$1100
10,000 credit card balance...................320
Total...............................................$1420

After refinance:
$182,000 mortgage at 4.2%..............$1030

In this example a new $182,000 mortgage pays off a $10,000 credit card balance eliminating a $320 monthly expense, and leaves enough cash to do a complete kitchen remodel. The total result is a $390 reduction in monthly outflow, not counting the money the family saves on going out to eat because they love their new kitchen so much!
